Chamber banquet, Business After Hours
The Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce will hold its 44th annual meeting Monday, Jan. 27, at the Johnston County Agricultural Center, 2736 N.C. 210, Smithfield. Excel Level I – 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday, Jan. 23-24, at the Workforce Development Center. Learn how to create and modify a basic workbook. The cost is $71.
Corporate CPR – 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 28-29, in Room 1032 at the Workforce Development Center. The class will cover adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid and defibrillator use. The cost is $72.50.
Word Level I – 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday, Jan. 30-31, at the Workforce Development Center. Learn the skills needed to create and modify documents. The cost is $71.
Notary Public – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Workforce Development Center. This six-hour class is required for people who wish to become notary publics. The fee is $70; the textbook is $29.
