“I Am More ... in Him,” a two-day event for girls in grades 6-12, will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. April 19 and 26 at Generation Church, 34 Oleander Drive, Clayton. Easter for kids, adults

An Easter devotional for children is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Smyrna Original Free Will Baptist Church in the Meadow community. An egg hunt and games will follow. The church will hold a sunrise service at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, April 5. Breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall. Sunday School will begin at 8 a.m. The worship service will follow at 9.
The adult choir of Pisgah Baptist Church will present “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” an Easter cantata, at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at the church, 3689 N.C. 210, Smithfield. An Eggstravaganza for children will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4. The event will feature a hot dog lunch, egg hunt, crafts and prize. Help for the needy
Wilson’s Mills Advent Christian Church has launched a community ministry, H.E.L.P. Station. H.E.L.P. is short for helping, encouraging, loving and praying. The ministry will guide people to community resources such as food banks and assistance programs. Also, it will help people apply for jobs and direct them to health and wellness sources, including prescription drug programs. The ministry is available from 9 to 11 a.m. on the third Saturday of every month at the church, 676 Main St., Wilson’s Mills. Also, people may leave prayer requests in the box near the church sign.
For young people
AWANA, a club for students from age 4 through sixth grade, meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 5217 Barber Mill Road, Clayton. For moms
Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma offers Mother’s Morning Out, a free child-care program. While moms run errands or go to appointments, their children take part in Bible stories, activities, crafts, music and more. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays through May 20.
