Mrs. Jean Ann Taylor Hobbs Thompson, 79, a resident of Glendale Court, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 25, 1935 in Guilford County, NC to David Taylor and Effie Morgan Taylor. She retired from Bayer Pharmaceutical and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry O. Hobbs on June 21, 1971 and Donlin Thompson on February 14, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Gwyneth Bouchie of Lexington; sons, Jay Hobbs of Lexington and Roddie Hobbs and wife Lynn of Denton; three brothers, Rocky Taylor of Denton, Tony Taylor of Brooklyn, NY and Sonny Taylor of Wilmington, NC; grandsons, Eric Frady and wife Christina, Brock Frady and wife Jennifer, and Lor Bouchie; and great-granddaughters, Abigail, Megan, Lilly, Madison, Carlie Ann, and Emerson Frady.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Tom Campbell officiating.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the graveside at the cemetery.
