Wake Christian football coach Stephen Cochran: “He’s just a terrific leader, and he missed about four games with a pulled hamstring last season. But he was willing to play anywhere we asked him to. He signed late because a few other schools were interested but he didn’t pursue it and just didn’t get any offers. As time wore on he missed it more and more and Southeastern kind of reached out to him.”
