Princeton downed Johnston County rival Neuse Charter in straight volleyball sets Thursday afternoon, 25-11, 25-12, 25-12. The Bulldogs moved to 6-0 in the Carolina 1A Conference with the victory and 11-1 overall.
Four players had five or more kills in the win for Princeton: Daisey Eklund (nine), Taylor Carroll (seven), Kortney Edwards (6) and Emily Ricks (5).
Hailey Wood and Carroll finished with four kills each.
The Bulldogs, state champions a season ago, have a big week upcoming meeting league rival Lakewood, which it played four times last season including the eastern regional championship match, and James Kenan.

Corinth Holders falls to Triton in five: Corinth Holders came as close as anyone has in two-plus years of beating Two Rivers 3A Conference volleyball bohemith Triton on Thursday, dropping a 25-23, 25-9, 22-25, 21-25, 15-13 decision.
Jamie Turner had 18 kills and 16 digs in the loss for the Pirates, while Haley Stancil contributed seven kills. Katelynn Leach notched four blocks and Megan Philipson had 25 digs.
Rolesville gets by Clayton in five: Clayton traded set wins with Rolesville until the one that mattered most Thursday, dropping a 13-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 15-11 volleyball decision.
Ashley Strott had nine kills in the win for the Rams.
Farmville tops North Johnston in five sets: North Johnston dropped the first two sets but rallied to do something no team had done against Farmville Central all season — win two sets — before falling in five sets of volleyball Thursday night.
“Farmville Central was undefeated and hadn’t lost a single set to anyone all season yet. We lost first two and came back,” said North ocach Nicole Davis. “It was some kinda awesome even though we lost.”
Western wins close sets: Western Harnett held strong late to earn a volleyball sweep of Smithfield-Selma on Thursday, 25-23, 25-21, 27-25. The Spartans fell to 0-2 on Two Rivers 3A Conference play.
Pirates dominate Demons: Corinth Holders bounced Wilson Fike 6-1 in boys soccer on Thursday night. Pedro Segundo and Adam Landeros had two goals each for the Pirates in the win. Dillon Parker and Jack Moeller also scored for Corinth Holders (6-2-1).
Panthers win 10th straight: North Johnston notched its 10th consecutive victory of the boys soccer season Thursday night with a 3-2 win over Rosewood.
The Panthers (11-1) got goals from Ricardo Padilla, Aldofo Rosales and Marcos Orozco in the win.
Sweeper Ricardo Padilla had a spectacular save of a shot on goal late in the match that prevented the Eagles from tying the score.
Clinton jumps on SSS early: Clinton made a two-goal lead in the first half stick and grabbed a 4-2 boys soccer win over Smithfield-Selma on Thursday.
