Lawsuit challenges gay-marriage ban on religious grounds

Carrboro Mayor Lydia Lavelle, a law professor at N.C. Central University, and Chapel Hill Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt, an attorney, supported a lawsuit seeking to overturn North Carolina’s same-sex-marriage ban Sunday morning at the United Church of Chapel Hill.
