Police charged a Durham man Tuesday with abducting three girls from Durham on Monday.
The girls, ages 11, 13 and 15 years old, were found unharmed, according to Durham police.
Juan Carlos Gutierrez, 51, of Rose Garden Lane was arrested after the girls were located in Selma.
Gutierrez was charged with three counts of abduction of children. He was also served with a warrant charging him with the abduction of a child last summer in Johnston County. He is currently in the Johnston County jail.
There is no indication he is related to the girls, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said. Two of the girls are sisters, she said.
The girls were found as a result of a joint investigation involving local, state and federal agencies. The investigation is ongoing.
