Home Roam Tour

The Junior League of Durham will host their annual Home Roam Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, in the old Hope Valley neighborhood in Durham. Tickets are $25 in advance at JLDOC.org, or $30 on the day of the event. The tour will check in at the Hope Valley Country Club, 3803 Dover Road, Durham.

Tobaccoland Club meets

Margie Dietz Ph. D, introduced the two speakers at the March 17 meeting of the Tobaccoland Club of Durham. Julie Wells, Executive Director, Partners for Youth and Eric Olson-Getty, Mentoring and Retention Coordinator, Year of Opportunity for Durham Youth, spoke about their similar programs for youth. The goal of the two organizations, which are to merge July 1, are to work in the development of lives for youth, especially life after high school. A six week workshop that focuses on careers will be conducted during June and July for 25-30 youths.
