▪ Durham County Library won the American Library Association John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Awards for Durham Reads Together.
▪ Greenway Transit Services earned a bronze-level designation from the League of American Bicyclists. Bronto Software earned an honorable mention.
▪ Six students won awards in Durham’s 2015 Water Conservation Poster Contest. In the third- through fifth-grade division, Faith Hanson won first place, Teddy Wallen won second and Omar Ramos Espinoza won third. In the sixth- through eighth-grade division, Starr Matthews won first place, Luke Cunningham won second and Bel Orinda won third.
▪ Immaculata Catholic School won Grand Champion in the Festival of Music and Competition in Virginia earlier this month. The school won first place in middle school band and second place in middle school choir.
