The Wake County Sheriff’s Office and Wendell and Knightdale police are looking for a man who ran away after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop.
The stop was at 4:29 p.m. on May 28 on Wendell Boulevard near Rolesville Road. There was one person in the late model Chevrolet Suburban.
The Sheriff’s Office said officers at the scene did not see any weapons on the suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches and of medium build. Police estimate his age to be in the late 20s or early 30s.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt and red pants and was “fleeing into the woods,” a release from the Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials haven’t said which direction the man ran when he ran from the car, not have they released information about who the vehicle was registered to.
