Military Notes: July 27

Colonel Allen Boyette, a Zebulon resident and member of the N.C. National Guard, graduated July 25 from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, earning a Master’s of Strategic Studies degree. The Army War College Distance Education course is taught over two years consisting of rigorous distance-learning combined with two resident sessions.

Colonel Allen Boyette, a Zebulon resident and member of the N.C. National Guard, graduated July 25 from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, earning a Master’s of Strategic Studies degree. The Army War College Distance Education course is taught over two years consisting of rigorous distance-learning combined with two resident sessions.

The Master’s program focuses on strategic issues that affect every aspect of national security such as international relations, regional interests and contemporary military issues.

The goal is to provide future senior leaders with the intellectual tools to become creative and strategic critical thinkers.

Completion of the program also confers Joint Professional Military Education I credit which is an important step toward further career advancement.
