Rites of Passage
Good Hope Baptist Church will host an information and registration session for the Good Hope Rites of Passage Program, a manhood development initiative for males ages 13-17. Ebenezer United Methodist Church will hold a pork barbecue sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, at 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh. $8 per plate eat-in includes all-you-can-eat barbecue, slaw, potato salad, hush puppies, a roll and a drink. Day of Service
Local congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold their annual Day of Service food drive from 8 a.m. to noon March 29, at 300 Jones St., Zebulon and 7312 Forestville Road, Knightdale. The food drive’s objective is to raise over 90,000 lbs of food and items for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Divine Revelation Church in Bailey will host a gospel sing at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at 6210 Main St., Bailey. Performers include Freddy Pace and Company, The Pilgrim Travelers, Grady Walston and Blessed and Voices of Faith. There is no admission charge, but a love offering will be taken.
