Spaghetti plate sale
The Wendell Masonic Lodge will hold its annual spaghetti lunch and dinner sale from 11 a.m-6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11, at the lodge, 27 N. Main St., Wendell. Cost is $5 per plate. Meals can be taken out or eaten in at the lodge. There is parking behind the building. Proceeds from the event benefit the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford. Zebulon Rotary Spelling Bee
The Zebulon Rotary Club will host a spelling bee fundraiser from 6:30-8 p.m., Nov. 10, at the Rotary/Woman’s Club building, 405 W. Sycamore St., Zebulon. The event will be held in honor of the late Barrie Davis, who was a fellow Rotarian. A team of four players costs $100. Teams can also buy their way back into the tournament for $20 if they mispell a word. Participation is open to students and adults. Proceeds will benefit a town beautification project. ▪ The Zebulon Lions Auxiliary will host its annual craft fair from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Lions Club building, 118 E. Lee St., Zebulon. Every available vendor booth has been reserved, so club members expect a wide variety of homemade crafts to be available for purchase just in time for the holidays.
▪ The Zebulon Lions Club will host a spaghetti supper from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, at the Lions Club building. Cost is $8 for all you can eat. Visitors can eat in or take out.
Brunswick stew sale
The Dragon Slayers Motorcycle Club will host a Brunswick stew sale Saturday, Nov. 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held at the IGA on Wendell Boulevard. Stew is $7 per quart.
