The Two Green Thumbs Garden Club of Knightdale enters its 16th year with a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21, in the Fellowship Hall of Knightdale Baptist Church. The club is affiliated with Garden Club of NC. New members are welcome.
Mid-Century Wendell entertainment
Wendell Historical Society’s next meeting will include a discussion about “Mid-Century Wendell Entertainment” at 7 p.m. Sept. 24, in the courtroom of the Wendell Town Hall at the corner of Fourth and Pine Streets. A panel will discuss places that offered entertainment to Wendell and area citizens, including Lake Glad, the Wendell movie theater, Dolphin’s drive-in restaurant, Teens Dairy Bar and a roller skate rink.

Cocktails at Cattails
Cocktails at Cattails will start at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Five County Stadium. The event will benefit the Zebulon Boys & Girls Club and will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, wine-tasting, silent auction, music and more.
