I read this (Editorial: What is Wendell board looking for?) when I opened the paper. The first proposal presented for the houses on smaller lots was a very incomplete proposal.
The contractor had no idea of the size lot or houses he planned to put on the land. He had no vision to give at all. Some question that were asked, he literally had no answer.
The second proposal was for apartments under the tax credit. There was a freeze in 2012 for these type housing. That has nothing to do with the current commisioners. It was asked that if their was such a huge need then why not build it without the tax credit.
Never miss a local story.
There was a firm no, not without the government assistance not to mention that a majority of the requests the board made to possibly accommodate the UDO adjustments requested were refused.
