High School: East Wake
Parents: Patricia and Roderick Arnold
Position: Small Forward
Also Considered: Barton College
Why Winston-Salem State? “The coach, the players, and the students made me feel at home. The school itself just fits my personality so well.”
Most memorable: “My favorite time playing at East Wake was when our coach was so proud of us after the Clayton game at home and she finally danced and celebrated with us in the locker room, which is something she would never do. Also, when I threw a pass to our point guard Ciera Williams and she caught it in the air and laid it up before she came back down to touch the floor.”
Notable: Briana is a three-year letter winner and one-year varsity starter for the Warriors in basketball. She was also a key player on the varsity volleyball team at East Wake.
East Wake coach Toni Vick: “Briana is a good student and very motivated. She really pushes herself to do well at anything she does. I believe she will do well at the collegiate level. She will give them her all. I hope the best for her.”
