Cleveland man charged with indecent liberties

A 27-year-old Cleveland man is scheduled to appear in court this month in two counties after allegedly molesting and sending illicit pictures to a 13-year-old girl.

Travis Dwayne Langdon was charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child in Bladen County and one count of disseminating obscenity to a minor in Davie County for events that took place last fall. He lives off Cleveland Road near the intersection of N.C. 42 and I-40.

The father of the alleged victimfiled the complaint after Langdon allegedly came onto his daughter after befriending her at a LARP event in Bladen County that had an age requirement of 14; The man said his daughter, 12 when she frist met Langdon, was there with older friends. The date of the two offenses are Sept. 1, 2013, and Nov. 1, 2013 according to arrest records. The girl’s father said Langdon sent naked pictures of himself to her cell phone, and since Bishop and his daughter live in Davie County charges were filed there. The date of that offense is listed as Sept. 14, 2013.

Charges were filed in April.

Langdon is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8 in Bladen County and Sept. 18 in Davie County.
