The 50/210 Community Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a firemen’s day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at 50 Greenleaf Road, Angier. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Plates of barbecue chicken and sides will be served throughout the day for $8 per plate beginning at 10 a.m. In addition to the chicken plates, hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will also be sold. Eat in at the fire department or take home.
A bounce house and a fire fighting simulation game for children will be available free of charge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a bake sale and silent auction during the day. Homemade baked goods such as cookies, brownies, cakes and other baked goods along with bottled water, chips and suckers will be available for sale during the day.

Starting around 6:30 p.m., the Ladies Auxiliary will hold an auction. Homemade baked goods and other items such as Panther tickets, restaurant gift cards and pottery will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
