Students getting ready to take the SAT or ACT now have a new option to help them get ready.
The Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield is practice ACT and SAT tests for students on Feb. 28.
The tests begin at 10:30, but students are required to be the Smithfield Library by 10 a.m.
The practice tests are designed to give students a sense of what the actual test questions are like and to experience test-like conditions.
Never miss a local story.
A month later, on March 28, students will reconvene at the library to get their test results and an analysis of how they did. Following that session, which begins at 11 a.m, students may participate in a seminar about which test – the SAT or the ACT – is better for them to take when they begin to seek college admissions.
All the events are free, but students are asked to call 919-934-8146 to register because seating is limited.
