Parents of rising kindergarten children are encouraged to reserve a seat for their children for the first day of school by registering at the child’s school starting Feb. 17. Children must be five years old on or before Aug. 31, 2014 to enroll.
Required for registration are the child’s birth certificate (if available) or other documented proof of age, including a family, school or census record, a statement signed by a physician present at birth or insurance polices. Also required are the parent or guardian’s identification with the same name as listed on the child’s proof of age, a physical examination form, immunization record, and proof of residence such as a utility bill or land contract.
Parents are strongly encouraged to enroll their children as soon as possible to assist the schools in planning for the upcoming school. For more information, call 919-934-4361, ext. 303.
