Garner Police are investigating a bomb threat on Garner Magnet High School’s campus, the department announced on its Twitter account Friday afternoon.
Students were evacuated from the school at about 1 p.m. after someone called the school and threatened to bomb it, according to Captain Joe Binns. Garner police searched the building but found no bombs. Students have returned back to class now.
Friday’s bomb threat and evacuation was the second in a month.
The Wake County school board approved a policy imposing fines on students whose threats lead to school evacuations.
