Kelly Michelle Tannery, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Charles Tannery of Garner, NC and Michael Allen Mitchell, Jr., son of Michael Mitchell Sr. of Swansboro, NC and Shari French of San Antonio, TX were married on October 26th, 2013.
The ceremony was held at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC, with Rev. Kevin Clubb of Cape Carteret Baptist Church officiating.
Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride was attended by her older sister, Kim Lewter as matron of honor with her younger sister, Kaila Tannery as maid of honor. Also attending the bride were close friends, Christy Williams, Amanda Scholl, Camillia Simpson, and Jessica Kujawski.
The best men were close friends of the groom, Timothy Luft and Patrick Larkin. Dane Mitchell, brother of the groom; Jamey Braswell, Michael Gonzalez, Billy Squires, close friends of the groom also attended. Kevin Lewter, brother-in-law of the bride, along with David Swinney and Kevin Weis, friends of the groom served as ushers.

The bride's Grandfather, William "Pop" Rhodes, served as ring bearer, and the groom's Great Aunt, Mary Kay Burlington served as the flower girl.
The bride graduated from Campbell University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. She is currently in graduate school at East Carolina University pursuing her master's degree in Instructional Technology Education. She is employed by Onslow County Schools as a Media and Instructional Technology Coach at Hunters Creek Middle School in Jacksonville, NC.
The groom has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from East Carolina University. He earned a Master's in Business Administration from Webster University and is employed by Marine Corps Community Services as a Supervisory Budget Analyst aboard Camp Lejuene, NC.
After a week - long stay in the Guanacaste, Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Emerald Isle, NC with their two dogs, Brody and Olive.
