Garner residents are invited to enroll for the summer/fall 2014 Garner 101 Citizens Academy beginning Aug. 7.
Garner 101 is a series of 10 weekly classes designed to teach citizens about the Town of Garner government. The classes will offer a wealth of knowledge about the town and its services and programs. Garner 101 will empower citizens with knowledge about their municipal government that will benefit their families and neighborhoods.
Participants will hear presentations from town departments and service providers such as the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, the Garner Police Department, Raleigh Public Utilities and Garner Volunteer Fire-Rescue, Inc. Classes will include facility tours and displays.
