Harbor, Inc.’s fundraiser, Walk the Track in Her Shoes, has been scheduled for Oct. 11. The walk will be held at the Smithfield Selma High School Football Stadium, 700 Booker Dairy Road, Smithfield. Registration will begin at 8 a.m.
Last year, the event drew many local businessmen, male community leaders and young adults who walked in women’s shoes. The event is one of two fundraisers conducted by Harbor annually. It is an event that is fun for the entire family.
WRAL’s Gerald Owens will join for the third year to emcee the event. The event will also welcome women and children to join the walk and will have activities for children who do not wish to walk.
