The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce has recognized Elizabeth Bonilla as their SUPER STAR Teacher of the month for March.
SUPER STAR teachers demonstrate excellence and leadership in their classroom, creativity and motivation of their students and show a high level of commitment to our community.
Bonilla always provides rigorous instruction to her students, but her love of chemistry and teaching encourages them to excel at everything they do. Former students are entering chemistry-related fields and return to West Johnston High School to work with her as volunteers in the classroom.
Bonilla leads the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Club at WJHS and is co-chair of the science department. She is a member of the School Improvement Team. She is also actively involved in JoCo Teen Drivers and is passionate about about saving teen lives by educating students, and adults, on the dangers of driving while distracted. She was instrumental in Johnston County’s hosting a statewide Teen Driving Summit last year.
