Garner Girl Scout earns Silver Award
Caleigh Norris, of Garner, has been awarded the Girl Scout Silver Award which is the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
For her Girl Scout Silver Award project, Norris coordinated a donation drive for pet supplies to be donated to the Wake County ASPCA. Inspired by her love for animals and her ambition to become a veterinarian, Norris decorated donation boxes to place at several collection sites in the community. She also solicited donations from friends, family and local pet supply stores. Norris collected items for the animal shelter such as dog and cat food, cat litter, blankets and treats.
Norris is the daughter of Cindy Norris and Kim Bradshaw. She is a member of Girl Scout Troop 640.
