Johnston Piney Grove Annual Homecoming & Revival

A special one-time screening of Princess Cut, the Christian romantic drama that affirms purity, will take place, beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Regal White Oak Stadium 14, 1205 Timber Drive East in Garner. Princess Cut stars local actor Rusty Martin Sr. as a struggling farmer who helps his head-strong daughter discover the power of true love in their rural Carolina town. Vacation Bible school
▪ Oakland Presbyterian Church will host its annual vacation Bible school, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 19-23, at 8927 Cleveland Road, Clayton. Dinner will be served Monday through Thursday. The theme this year is Gospel Light’s SonSpark Labs for ages 3 through rising 5th graders. An adult class will be presented by pastor Andrew Ruth, titled Bible 101. Nursery for children 2 and under will be available for adults attending the Bible 101 class. ▪ The First Presbyterian Church of Garner will hold vacation Bible school, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 2 through Tuesday, August 4, in the Fellowship Hall, at 503 Lakeside Drive in Garner. There will be light dinner served each night in addition to Bible stories, games and crafts. Classes are provided for pre-school to Grade 5 using Gospel Light’s SonSpark Labs theme.
