Hope Church will be collecting canned and shelf-stable dry goods throughout the month of January to benefit the Back Pack Buddy program and Hope Church’s food pantry.
Hope Church’s food drive focuses on “giving the good stuff,” which encourages families to donate the kinds of foods that have the most impact for nutritious meals. And since many of these donated foods will be going home in children’s backpacks, Hope Church requests plastic, boxed or canned items when feasible.
The following items are requested as follows: week of Jan. 10, peanut butter and jelly; week of Jan. 17, chunky soups; week of Jan. 24, canned and/or uncooked pastas (spaghetti, noodles, rice); week of Jan. 31, canned meats (chicken, ham, roast beef, Spam, tuna).
Collection boxes are located in the back of the Hope Church building, at 1696 Amelia Church Road, Clayton. Donations may be dropped off at the collection box at any time and will be moved daily to a secure location. If you wish to receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donation, please leave your contact information with your donation. For questions, call 919- 553-5482.
