Wagstaff to speak at Aversboro Road Baptist
Rusty Wagstaff, who inspired the region with his faith-filled journey following a devastating illness, will be speak at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Aversboro Road Baptist Church. The event includes a free chili supper. Wagstaff had both hands and both legs amputated in 2014 as doctors tried to save his life after a bout with infection. Free and open to the public.

The AWANA Club is holding a workshop to prepare for its annual Grand Prix, at 11 a.m. Feb. 27, in the Fellowship Hall at Hayes Chapel Christian Church. Participants will select, paint, and decorate each car to meet the specifications of the Grand Prix. The actual racing event will take place the following week at 11 a.m. March 5, with prizes for each category and other fun activities. The event is open to all ages. Spectators are welcome.
