National Association of University Women
The National Association of University Women Clayton branch celebrated 35 years of service at a Founder’s Day Ceremony on Saturday March 12 in Garner. The group honored charter members of the Clayton Branch along with Woman of the Year, Pamela Smith of Garner. Members also attended worship service on Sunday March 13 at Solid Rock Ministry International in Garner and presented the church with an offering of $100 as part of their community service efforts.
The Garner Shrine Club will have its Spring Fish Fry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 8, in the parking lot of Lowe’s Home Improvement Store at the junction of US 401 South and 70 East in Raleigh. Eat in or take out. Plates are $8 each, and include fish, slaw, boiled potatoes and hush puppies. Advance bulk orders welcomed. Call 919-772-8984. Boy Scout carwash fundraiser
The Boy Scout Troop 33 car wash fundraiser will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the parking lot at Oakland Presbyterian Church, 8927 Cleveland Road, Clayton. Donations accepted.
Classic Car Club meets

The Garner Civitan Club meets for dinner at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of the month, at 1005 Poole Drive, Garner. The progam is from 7 to 8 p.m. The club serves children with developmental disabilities and others in need.
Garner Lions Club
The Garner Lions Club meets for dinner at 6:45 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at 305 W. Main St., Garner. The club welcomes guests. Dinner is $10. Aversboro Run Club
Aversboro Run Club meets at 6 p.m. every Thursday outside Aversboro Restaurant & Sports Bar, 1411 Aversboro Road, Garner. The club is open to every runner and walker, and runs set routes of 3, 4 and 5 miles covering many paces. The restaurant offers food and drink specials to all walkers and runners upon their return.
Garner Women’s Club
