Up to 50 entries for Clayton’s 18th annual Art Faire competition will be accepted until Friday, Aug. 26, with an entry fee of $40 ($25 for Clayton Visual Arts members).
Artwork will be on display in September and early October. A reception with awards will be on Thursday, Sept. 8. The 10 awards for photography and two-dimensional fine arts total $2,100.

Johnston County Chorale
The Johnston County Chorale invites high school students and adults of all ages to join the group’s Christmas show. Auditions aren’t required. The performance will be on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Clayton Center.

Johnston County MS Support Group
The Johnston County MS Support Group meets at 11 a.m. the third Tuesday of the month at The Church at Clayton Crossings, 11407 U.S. 70 W., Clayton. These free meetings are open to people with multiple sclerosis and their families.

Motheread is a 12-week self-paced program that combines teaching literacy skills with child development and family empowerment.
The Incredible Years parent program offers weekly group sessions for 14 to 16 weeks. Participants learn to promote children’s academic, social and emotional skills.
