An unusual “accident”
Regarding your article “Investigators find drugs, money, gun in home” in the Jan. 17th edition. I never have claimed to be a genius, but I still have some common sense about me.
That being said, I find that your article that has one of the most ludicrous statements that I have ever seen in print. The setup is that a house burned down and drugs, money and a gun were found in the home.
As the Garner-Cleveland Record stated, “Wake Country Sheriff Donnie Harrison said Thursday that fire investigators have concluded the fire was of an undetermined origin, but was an accident.”
Never miss a local story.
Wow! Talk about an assumption! So a person living in a house with 1.4 pounds of pot, $9,000 cash and an assault rifle in the safe just happened to die in an “accidental” house fire of undetermined origin! I thought these kind of accidents and investigations only happened in Colombia or Mexico. The Sheriff may want to get a second investigation!
