It may seem trivial: men teaching young boys to tie a necktie. But it’s not. Neckties represent a certain level of maturity and responsibility. We want our young people to aspire to such character traits.
And we want them to understand that knowing how to tie a necktie is one step closer to getting the kind of white collar job that may pay them well as adults.
Kids grow up too fast these days, we admit. But if that’s going to happen, it’s best they know how to present themselves well when they need to.
