Why Case Western Reserve? “It’s a good fit academically because of its engineering and computer science departments. I think Division III is a good fit for my skill set, and I’ll have time for extracurricular activities.”
Major: Computer Science
Notable: Nolan was a three-year letter winner, started three varsity seasons. He elected not to play as a junior following the death of his mother. … As nose guard, was a key contributor to the defensive line which helped lead last season’s Bulldogs to an 8-4 record with 15 tackles and one sack. He played some OL as an underclassman and will play defensive end in college for the Spartans. ... Nolan says he enjoys computer programming and he started a successful non-profit group called “Second Chance Letters,” a Christian effort that writes letters of encouragement to prison inmates.
Wake Christian football coach Stephen Cochran: “He’s an outstanding young man and a hard worker. He had a hamstring injury and missed the early part of the season. That may have been a good thing because he came in fresh in a lot of ways. We kept him on one side of the field and he ate up a lot of double teams for us. He has really strong academics, and he’ll do a good job in college.”
