Hillsborough Street construction begins again in June

A section of Hillsborough Street will once again become a construction zone as crews continue overhauling the road north of N.C. State University, picking up where they left off in 2010. Officials say it will take 18 months and nearly $19 million to slim the road to two lanes, bury power lines, replace sewer mains and add three traffic circles between Gardner and Shepherd Streets.
