Edward and Nicole Knight’s family of five is a traditional family among six families nominated in four categories as strong healthy families and then recognized for their efforts by Strengthening the Black Family, Inc., during its 32nd annual conference. By being actively involved in the community and their church, Faith Tabernacle of Praise, the Knights fulfill their family motto that requires they help those in need, no matter their own circumstances. Both Nicole and Edward (seated) have active roles in their church and their community. They expect the same through academics, and church and community service from Nikiyah, 18, (standing), Elise, 13 (standing), as they serve as role models to Edward IV, 2 (seated with parents).
