Little Theatre performance

Wake Tech Idol

Wake Technical Community College will name its first Wake Tech Idol at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the Building E Performance Hall. More than 80 students auditioned, and the top 12 finalists will compete for prizes. Admission is $5 for students and Wake Tech employees, and $10 for the public. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Bluegrass jam

The PineCone Bluegrass Jam will be 7 to 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Busy Bee Cafe, 225 Wilmington St., Raleigh. Bluegrass musicians of all levels can listen, observe and play during the jam. For more information, visit

During the Porsche By Design exhibit, the N.C. Museum of Art will present juried car shows from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays along 2110 Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh.
