Jessica Kittelberger was the valedictorian for Ravenscroft School’s Class of 2014. Kittelberger attended Ravenscroft School for 14 years, played varsity golf for four years and was the TISAC conference and state player for 2012, and conference player for 2013. She was an All-District and All-State percussionist. She is a member of the Latin Honor Society, National Honor Society, Cum Laude Society, National Fine Arts Honor Society - Tri M Music Honor Society, AP Scholar with distinction, and a member of Ravenscroft’s Environmental Conservation Organization and Student Leadership Committee. She also raised $40,000 for her annual fundraiser Golf for Promise in support of N.C. Children’s Promise. Kittelberger will attend Dartmouth College in the fall and will play for their varsity women’s golf team.
Rachel Victoria McKimmon will attend the 88th annual N.C. Debutante Ball Sept. 4-6. The formal presentation of young women from across the state will highlight the weekend festivities. Invitations are extended to young women in recognition of the contributions their families have made to the economic, cultural, social and civic life in N.C.
Envision receives grant
Envision Science Academy is the recipient of a $5,000 science grant from the Sameer Ishwar Muraka Memorial Foundation, created in 2012 to honor Muraka’s memory. The grant will enable Envision to create and outfit a new science and engineering laboratory and outdoor classroom.
