Karate Kenpo classes are offered from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays for youth, and 7 to 8:30 p.m. for adults, at Millbrook Exchange Park, 1905 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh. Monthly fee is $45. The instructor is Bill Parsons of the Triangle Kenpo Institute.
Pickleball open play
Play pickleball from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays on the tennis courts at Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St., Wake Forest. Pickleball is played on a badminton court with a lowered net, a perforated plastic ball and wood paddles. It is easy to learn but can develop into a competitive game for experienced players.

Adult Pickleball League
The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department has a new pickleball league for adults. Registration is available at wakeforestnc.recdesk.com, or at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St., or the Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St. The entry fee is $35; space is limited to the first 48 registrants ages 18 and older. The Wake Forest Pickleball League will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays at the Ledford Center, 120 S. Wingate St., located on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. League play will continue through mid-April.
