Raleigh mayor says city, state ‘very close’ to Dorothea Dix property deal

Raleigh leaders are “very close” to a deal to acquire the Dorothea Dix property, Mayor Nancy McFarlane said after a one-hour special council meeting Thursday morning behind closed doors.
