‘MEXhibit: Mexican Artists in North Carolina’
Throughout May, the City of Raleigh Museum and the Consulate General of Mexico are sponsoring an exhibit of several Mexican artists who live in North Carolina. The artwork includes sculptures and paintings. The City of Raleigh Museum is located at 220 Fayetteville St., Raleigh.
Forest Moon Theater
Forest Moon Theater will present a version of “Hansel and Gretel” at 7:30 p.m. May 8 and 15 and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. May 9 and 16 at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and younger. Tickets the day of the show are $13 for adults and $10 for children. For tickets, go to www.wakeforestnc.gov.

Scrap Happens Night
The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre will host Scrap Happens Night at 5 p.m. Friday, May 8, at 405 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest. Participants can gather to work on craft projects. Concessions will be sold until 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 plus tax. For tickets, go to www.wakeforestnc.gov or stop by the Renaissance Centre box office.
Six Sundays in Spring
The Six Sundays in Spring concert series will take place through May 31. The free Sunday concerts are held in the E. Carroll Joyner Park amphitheater, 701 Harris Road, Wake Forest. The concerts start at 5 p.m. Go to www.wakeforestnc.gov/six-sundays-in-spring.aspx for more information.
Call for artists
The Cotton Company in historic downtown Wake Forest is seeking a variety of artists and musicians for Art After Hours. The event, which takes place the second Friday of each month, allows local artists and musicians to display their work, network and sell to the public.
