Dunn & Dunn CPAs is a father and son firm that is making history. The family business is the first to have a second-generation president of the Rotary Club of Central Johnston County.
Claud Dunn, a past president of the club, began his business back in 1978. Fast forward, and years later his son, John Dunn, joined him in the firm. The two not only work side by side in business, but they also work together in their volunteer endeavors.
John has followed in his father’s footsteps and taken on the role of club president. His term began this month.
“I could not be more proud of my son for taking on such an important role in a civic club,” Claud said.
John said he was excited to help grow membership and establish a Rotary Day for community members to meet local Rotarians and learn about the local, district and international work.
“I will look to my dad for assistance along the way,” John said. “I have been doing that for many years with our business, so I am used to following his lead.”
The club’s president leads the board members in establishing programs and setting fundraising goals. John will also run the Thursday noon meetings for the year.
The club has been serving central Johnston County since 1988.
