Special guest Ronald McDonald recently offer Micro-Pine Level Elementary School students a lesson on the importance of reading.
“I learned that if I put my mind to something, I can do anything I want,” said Jason Carlos, a fifth-grader in Shannon Gibson’s class.
The theme of the show was “It’s Book Time with Ronald McDonald.” Students learned how books could be their friend, and Ronald McDonald shared ways to get excited about reading.
He also talked to students about going to the library and about taking care of the books they read.
Never miss a local story.
“I learned how important it is to take care of your books and not destroy them,” said Nicole Ferrell, a fifth-grader in Courtney Maready’s class.
