Faith Notes: May 21

A block party is scheduled from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at First Baptist Church of Clayton, 411 N. Fayetteville St., Clayton. The party will feature live music, games, inflatables, a food truck and Italian ice. Bring a lawn chair.

The next Holy Grounds Coffee House is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at First Baptist Church of Clayton, 411 N. Fayetteville St., Clayton. The church’s ladies’ ensemble will perform.

Community Day will get underway at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Sardis Baptist Church, 5444 Brogden Road, Smithfield. A puppet team will perform, Canaanland and A Taste of Grace will sing, and the church will serve a hot dog supper starting at 3:45 p.m.

Plates of barbecued chicken will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Lee’s Chapel Advent Christian Church, 4154 N.C. 96 South, Four Oaks. The cost is $8, with takeout available. For more information, call 919-963-2123.

Bingo play to benefit the Johnston County Relay for Life is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Johnson Memorial Church, 8280 N.C. 50, Angier. The cost is $15 and includes two Bingo cards, hot dogs and desserts. The evening will also feature at 50/50 drawing. For more information, call the church at 919-934-3688.

An Eggstravaganza is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Pisgah Baptist Church, 3689 N.C. 210, Smithfield. The event will feature an egg, food and games with prizes. The church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 16. Breakfast will follow.
