Historical Ghost Walk – 7-10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, in Riverside Cemetery in downtown Smithfield. Re-enactors tell stories about interesting people from Johnston’s County past. To learn more, call the Johnston County Heritage Center at 919-934-2836.
St. Ann’s International Food Festival – 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4047 U.S. 70 Business West between Clayton and Smithfield. The festival features food from various countries, live international entertainment, games for children and a silent auction. Admission and parking are free.
Maze Dayz and Super Saturdayz – Lazy O Farm, 3583 Packing Plant Road, Smithfield. Activities vary but include hayrides, barnyard visits and a maze. For more information, call 919-934-1132.

Wilson’s Mills Pumpkin Festival – 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct., near the Wilson’s Mills Town Hall, 101 Railroad St. The day will feature vendors, children’s activities, a dunking booth, music, food, a car show and a 5K run/walk to benefit the Backpack Buddies program at Wilson’s Mills Elementary.
