Bike rides to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Johnston County will take place Saturday, April 18, at The Club of Flowers Plantation, 120 Flowers Parkway, Clayton. The 2015 Cure SMA Walk-n-Roll is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Smithfield Community Park on Booker Dairy Road. The event, now in its third year, raises money for a cure for spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic spinal disorder. It’s named in memory of Logan Moore, who died from the disorder at age 10 months. A public meeting on proposed improvements to U.S. 70 intersections near Princeton is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Princeton Town Hal, 503 Dr. Donnie H. Jones Blvd. The DOT proposes to make improvements to the U.S. 70 intersections with Martin Livestock Road and Pondfield Road. At the meeting, DOT representatives will be available to answer questions about the projects and receive comments.
