Notable: Josh helped lead South Johnston into the eastern regional 3A championship series this past spring, anchoring the infield at the shortstop position. He projects to play shortstop or third base in college. … The playoff run and the Trojans’ win in the 2013 Johnston County Easter Invitational are his two most memorable accomplishments at South Johnston. … Josh was the 2014 winner of the Sam Narron Baseball Award, which annually goes to a graduating Johnston County baseball player who best typifies the ideals of the game. … He wants to improve his speed and strength as he gets ready for college ball. … Josh hit nearly .400 in his senior season and his on-base percentage was .590.
