Fore! Cleveland golf
The third annual Fore! Cleveland Golf Tournament will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 26, at Reedy Creek Golf Course. The four-person superball event features lunch and dinner, prize eligibility and top finisher awards. The entry fee is $260 per team or $325 for a full team entry with a hole sponsorship. Cheerleading camps in Smithfield
Cheerleading camps for grades 1-5 and 6-12 will be held twice this summer. Camp for grades 6-12 is from 9 a.m. to noon July 22-24 and costs $70 per session. Clayton Comets volleyball camp
The Clayton Comets volleyball camp for ages 8-15 will be held 9 a.m. to noon July 9-12 at Clayton High School. The cost is $75 until the first day of camp or $90 on the day of. Registration forms are available in the Clayton High main office or online at Johnston.k12.nc.us/chs under athletics.
Spartans’ baseball camp

Camp Chillin’ camps

N.C. Wiffle Ball Tournament
The 25th annual N.C. Wiffle Ball Tournament will be held July 20-21 at Smithfield Community Park. The tournament field is made up of four-man teams, and trophies are awarded for first and second place, as well as MVP and an All-Tournament team. Bats and balls are provided, as are umpires for all games. The entry fee for the double-elimination event is $60 per team. Wake Warriors 11U baseball tryouts
The Wake Warriors travel baseball team will hold tryouts for the 11U (11th birthday after May 1, 2013) fall season. Tryouts are from 6-8 p.m. on July 11 and July 17 at the Pilot Fields (38 Pilot Bypass Road) in Zebulon. The team primarily plays Top Gun-sanctioned tournaments during the fall season. Triangle Sportscaster Camp
The fifth Annual Triangle Sportscaster Camp will be held July 15-17 in Raleigh. This day-camp teaches the fundamental cores to a career in play-by-play and anchoring in the world of sports broadcasting. Campers receive hands-on instruction and training from nearly a dozen major college/pro sports announcers/TV sportscasters from across the state. The camp is directed by Durham Bulls and regional TV play-by-play broadcaster Patrick Kinas. The camp fee is $425 and is open to boys and girls ages 14-22. Corinth Community Youth Football
Registration for youth football and cheerleading with Corinth Community Recreation is open online at ccrpirates.com. The fee is $90 for the first child and $80 for each additional child in the same family. Walk-up registration will be available at the practice field beside Corinth Holders Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 13, 20 and 27, and Aug. 3. Johnston Horse Show Series dates named
Johnston County Horse Show Series events will be held Aug. 3-4 (at Hunt Horse Complex), Sept. 21, Oct. 26 and Nov. 23 at the Johnston County Livestock Arena near Smithfield. Rings open at 8:30 for all events. Johnston County HUNTER Horse Series shows are May 11, June 8, Sept. 7 and Nov. 9 at the Johnston County Livestock Arena. The Boats Unlimited N.C. Team Tournament Bass Trail is open for the spring season. There will be seven events and a championship event June 22 at Falls Lake.
