Never miss a local story.
Why Greensboro? “I went to a game and I fell in love with the place. It felt just like I was at Princeton. It reminded me of Princeton on steroids. And they have a lot of the same philosophies as Coach Minor.”
Also Considered: N.C. Wesleyan
Major: Sports Medicine or Physical Therapy
Notable: Dakota was a key player on a Princeton defense that seemed to make big stop after big stop during the Bulldogs’ run to the 1A eastern regional championship game. “We started to finally gel during the playoffs,” he said of Princeton’s run. “We got the egos out of the way and all started believing in each other.” … He wants to improve his speed before college and that could come in handy with Greensboro planning on possibly using him at safety or linebacker. Dakota has played both safety and linebacker (before settling in at middle linebacker) for each of the past two season for Princeton. He also lined up at wide receiver and tight end on offense at times.
Princeton coach Derrick Minor: “Dakota was by far the heart and soul of our defense. He was a vocal leader but also led by example.”
