Cole Narron to play volleyball at Cape Fear Community

Parents: Brian and Christie Narron

Parents: Brian and Christie Narron

High School: Corinth Holders

Travel Team: Johnston County Heat

Height: 5-foot-8

Also Considered: Meredith, N.C. Wesleyan

Why Cape Fear? “It’s near the beach and when I met Coach Emily I just fell in love with her and the way she coaches and the intensity that’s in the program.”

Notable: Cole, along with fellow signee Lindsay Alford, has been one of the building blocks for the Pirates’ highly successful program, which won a conference championship in just its third year of play. … Cole was a standout outside hitter for Corinth Holders squad and has played almost every position on the court in travel ball. She likes playing different positions. “I’d rather be someone who can play every position on the court so I can play at any time to help my team than just be stuck in one position,” she said. … Her goal as she begins college-level play is to better understand every position on the court. … Cole wants to study business.

Corinth Holders coach Charles Riley: “Cole has always had an interest doing things above and beyond just playing high school volleyball for fourth months. Her desire to get better and learn continually is going to help her improve and get the chance to move onto a four-year program.”
